SPECIAL INFORMATION
While requirements of all mission agencies cannot be reproduced here, the guidelines of the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Agency are provided as an example of what agencies require of missionary candidates.
The guidelines to establish candidacy with the agency are as follows:
1. Show evidence of having completed an acceptable program of study from a
Bible school, institute, college or seminary. This is normally taken to be a
four year undergraduate program or a one year graduate program or
equivalent.
2. Wives of candidates are recommended to complete a full program of study.
However, a special course of study may be acceptable in certain cases.
Consult the agency office.
3. Spend one year in an approved internship. Outstanding Christian service
during Bible college studies may be accepted in lieu of the internship.
4. Participate in the agency sponsored preparation seminar.
5. Pass a series of psychological and personality inventories and be interviewed
by the agency's committee.
6. Once approved, a candidate is expected to conduct himself/herself according
to the agency's principles and practices.
