Students interested in continuing Bible or theology training beyond the undergraduate level will find this program a useful preparation. The program leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree.
The graduate who completes this program will:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the grammar of the original languages of the Bible.
2. Have ability to do exegetical studies in the New Testament.
3. Have skill necessary to use Hebrew and Greek language aids.
4. Make use of the techniques and methodologies of research to investigate Bible and theology related problems.
5. Relate the principles of Biblical interpretation and language studies to researching problems.
6. Have attained exposure to a broad range of subject areas as a foundation for further study.
7. Be able to do work in a graduate program.
1. The core curriculum including the following:
Mathematics-Elect MAT 1312 for the mathematics requirement.
Bible-BIB 4399 or THL 3399
Bible/Theology-7 additional elective hours.
Bible/Theology-Minimum of 18 hours in 3000 and 4000 level courses
Language-LNG 2301, 2302, 2305, 2306, 3303, 3304
General Education-HIS 3305, 3306
Church Ministries-8 hours.
Elective Courses-8 hours in any area
2. Competency in writing and research
3. Character, discipline, initiative, and an intense interest in learning
4. Fulfillment of all requirements in the Christian Service Program
