Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies

The Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies (MABTS) at Arlington Baptist College is designed to address current theological issues with a biblical response. Led by a team of well-versed instructors, the program explores issues that undermine the fundamentals of the Christian Faith.

In order to accommodate working professionals, the program utilizes a convenient seminar format that is comprised of three components. These components are Graduate Research, Christian History and Church Ministry.

The Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies is an affordable, accredited, and relevant program designed to further hone the skills of ABC graduates in the area of effective Christian ministry.

Program Objectives

  1. The Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies (MABTS) program exists to promote biblical scholarship as well as instruction designed to provide a biblical response to current theological and cultural issues.
  2. The Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies program is structured around the major theological disciplines.
  3. The Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies program establishes a process to enhance a student’s current ministry endeavors through rigorous study, discussion, and reflection on current theological and cultural issues.
  4. The Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies program promotes a Biblical worldview in response to issues reflecting a belief in the accuracy, intention, inspiration, and sufficiency of Scriptures.

 

Length of the Program

The student will have up to six years to complete the program. After that period of time, an extension will only be granted after review and approval by the Program Director and Academic Dean of Arlington Baptist College. The program can be completed in a minimum of three years.
