Brian Powers

 

Family

Brian was born and raised in Paris, Texas.  He joined the U.S. Air Force at 18 and during his enlistment accepted Jesus Christ as Savior.  He met and married his wife Jodell while attending Arlington Baptist College, and is now celebrating over 9 years of marriage. They are currently in the process of building their family through adoption.

Education

Brian has completed technical training in Computer Guidance and Navigation Systems from the U.S. Air Force.  His Bachelors degree was earned and completed in 1999 at Arlington Baptist College.  Recently, he finished his Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in May 2007.

Experience

After finishing his Bachelors he accepted a position as Associate Pastor at Temple Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.  The following year in August 2000 he felt God’s call to missions and was approved as a Missionary to New Zealand through the World Baptist Fellowship.  He and his wife served until 2007 when he accepted the position of Mission Chair at Arlington Baptist College.
