Co-requisite: LNG 1301. Offered in conjunction with LNG 1301 to provide laboratory experience.

LNG 1102 BEGINNING SPANISH II LAB CREDIT HOURS

Co-requisite: LNG 1302. Offered in conjunction with LNG 1302 to provide laboratory experience

 

LNG 1301 BEGINNING SPANISH I 3 CREDIT HOURS

An introductory course in beginning Spanish, with sequential steps needed for the average student to develop skills in the four areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the Spanish Language. Grammar will also be highly emphasized. The understanding of grammatical structures will aid in the ability to communicate and comprehend Spanish.

LNG 1302 BEGINNING SPANISH II       3 CREDIT HOURS

A continuation of Beginning Spanish I with more emphasis on the understanding of grammatical structures to aid in the ability to communicate and comprehend Spanish more effectively.

 

LNG 2301 NEW TESTAMENT GREEK I 3 CREDIT HOURS

This course is a study of the principles of Greek grammar, syntax, and inflection of Greek verbs

LNG 2302 NEW TESTAMENT GREEK II 3 CREDIT HOURS

This course continues New Testament Greek Grammar I with an emphasis on vocabulary and text reading. Prerequisite: LNG 2301.

LNG 2303 GREEK STUDY TOOLS 3 CREDIT HOURS

This course will survey general grammatical principles for the Greek language for use with a current Bible study software program. Representative exegetical and word study assignments will be taken from various genre of the New Testament. Prerequisites: BIB 1302, BIB 1305.

LNG 2304 HEBREW STUDY TOOLS 3 CREDIT HOURS

This course will survey general grammatical principles for the Hebrew Language for use with a current Bible study software program. Representative exegetical and word study assignments will be taken from various genre of the Old Testament. Prerequisites: BIB 1301, BIB 1305.

LNG 2305 OLD TESTAMENT HEBREW I 3 CREDIT HOURS

This course is a study of the grammar and usage of Old Testament Hebrew. Alphabet, vocabulary and verb forms are introduced. Prerequisites: BIB 1301, BIB 1305.

LNG 2306 OLD TESTAMENT HEBREW II        3 CREDIT HOURS

This course is a continuation of a study of the Hebrew language in its Old Testament usage. The student will receive further study of Hebrew grammar, syntax, and alphabet with vocabulary study and translation. Prerequisites: BIB 1301, BIB 1305, LNG 2305

 

LNG 3303 NEW TESTAMENT GREEK SYNTAX I 3 CREDIT HOURS

This course is designed to further the student’s knowledge of Greek grammar while reviewing all forms covered in the first year. Special emphasis will be given to noun usage as students develop their own syntax notebook. Exegetical practice will be provided through New Testament translation of John. Prerequisite: LNG 2301, 2302.

 

LNG 3304 NEW TESTAMENT GREEK SYNTAX II 3 CREDIT HOURS

This course continues the work begun in New Testament Greek Syntax I. Syntax notebooks will be expanded to include more detailed knowledge of verbs, participles, and prepositions. Vocabulary will also be expanded as students read and translate passages from the Greek New Testament. Prerequisite: LNG 3303.
